Bishop Musa who stormed into the physical exercise shortly after attending the Anglican Bishops “GAFCON” Conference in Abuja, called on the faithful to prioritise exercise, noting that maintaining physical and mental health, reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

“Am happy seeing you exercising. It’s also scriptural as exercise is of some value” So pls keep it up. It’s for your own good. How I which I have enough time to roll with you all”

A health worker, Mrs.Stella Ozugha stressed the need for a moderate eating habit, warning that a bad lifestyle poses danger to one’s health.

She demonstrated how to resuscitate an unresponsive, non-breathing patient.

“Ensure the area is safe for you and the victim. Check for responsiveness by shaking shoulders and calling out before opening the airway by placing one hand on the forehead, the other on the chin, and gently tilting the head back”

The chairperson of the 2026 Mothering Sunday Committee, Dame Nneka Godbless echoed that physical exercise was part of the programmes lined up to keep members of the church fit as they discharge their day to day activities.

Dame Godbless affirmed that the sports programme was part of events ahead of this year’s International Women day and Mothering Sunday coming up on the 15th of March 2026.

Commending participants who were profusely sweating after the exercise, Loveth Bako the President Women wing of the Church of Pentecost, enjoined parishioners to garnish their desire for fitness with spirituality.

“Use spirituality and physical health as a vessel for spiritual expression. You must know that your body is the temple of God. So ensure you discipline yourself through exercise”

The walk covering three kilometers within the Lugbe Federal Housing Authority, also featured aerobics with over eighty members of the church participating.
