The suspended Minister of Humanitarian affairs and Poverty alleviation, Ms Betta Edu seems to be receiving divine intervention, as the Senior Pastor of Life Hope Salvation Ministry International, Prophet Denis Mongba has announced.
Prophet Mongba, said this during his Sunday service. According to him, Edu intervention will be liken to the biblical adulterous woman who was brought before Jesus and Jesus asked if there is anyone who have not sin to first cast a stone on her, and all of them left without hurting her.
He said, “Betta Edu, there is divine intervention coming her way. I hear if anyone who has not steal money before should first cast a stone on her.”
Recalls that President Bola Tinubu suspended Ms Edu in January because she ordered the transfer of N585.2 million into the private bank account of a civil servant, who is the accountant in charge of grants for Vulnerable Nigerians.
The president also asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to carry out a “thorough investigation” of all the ministry’s financial transactions.” The investigation extended to the entire framework of Nigeria’s social investment programmes

Her case has actually elicited mixed reaction from Nigerians of all walks of life. Some wanted her to be prosecuted, while some wanted her to be caution and allow to continue with her job in her ministry, perhaps because they felt that she actually opened up avenue for the federal government to see the corruption carried out through the ministry by the immediate past administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
Core Reporters, however report that, a lot of Nigerians believe that the staff brought by the past administration who are beneficiaries of the corruption in the ministry under the immediate past minister were fully responsible for the ‘Edugate’, because they felt that Edu was not at any way protecting their principal’s interest. But, respite is coming her way through a divine means.
Prophet Mongba is known for releasing accurate prophecy, though he did not say if she is going to be reinstated in the same ministry, but Core Reporters believe that Edu will get her ministry back.
