Indications are rife that Benue State Government may be considering flying the Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Team Manager, Barnabas Imenger Snr. abroad for medical treatment after it was obvious that the sickness is getting worse on a daily basis.
Imenger Snr. has been admitted at the Federal Medical Center, Makurdi for an undisclosed ailment for the past two months now with no sign of improvement despite Governor Samuel Ortom’s intervention.
The humane governor of Benue State, Ortom had earlier put a phone call across to the ailing Imenger Snr. and assured him of his government readiness to foot the bill of his treatment, but the ex-Nigeria International is yet to stand on his feet rather, Core Reporters can authoritatively report that the sickness is getting worse by the day.
But, thank God Gov. Ortom is ready to match his words with action as a government source who confided on this reporter said that they are preparations at the government house to fly the ailing Imenger Snr. abroad for medical attention since the condition is rather worsening instead of improving at the FMC, Makurdi
It would be recalled that Imenger Snr. was reportedly rushed to the Federal Medical Center, Makurdi two months ago for an undisclosed ailment.
Meanwhile, Hon. George Ali chairman Otukpo LGA and Director of Sports Comrade Philip Nongu led their supporters to FMC where they held a prayer session for the quickest recovery of the ex-international.
