Bassange Nation Lauds NUJ FCT Leadership over Support to Fmr Chairman Sule‘s Eye Surgery
Abuja (Core Reporters) It was another round of appreciation and commendation to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, led by Comrade Grace Ike as the Bassange Nation worldwide sent her heartfelt appreciation for the council support to Chief Ndamadu Sule, a former Chairman of the council as well as a well respected Bassange elder.
This was contained in an appreciation letter to the council on Sunday, June 29, 2025 and signed by ‘The KAKAKI BASSANGE’ Chief Jacob Edi, former Chairman of FCT Council.
The statement reads in parts, “On behalf of the Bassange Nation worldwide, I hereby like to sincerely thank the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, led by Comrade Grace Ike, for their kind support to our Chief Ndamadu Sule, a former Chairman of the council as well as a well respected Bassange elder.
“Chief Ndamadu has called to formally brief KAKAKI BASSANGE on this unprecedented kind gesture of the council to arrange an all-expense paid eye surgery.
“This kind gesture is quite appreciated by the very appreciative Bassange community, worldwide.
“It is my fervent hope that the surgery will go a long way in improving Chief Ndamadu Sule’s eye condition and his overall health and wellbeing.
“The Bassange Nation is truly grateful for this life-saving support.
“We deeply appreciate your thoughtful and forward-looking leadership which has touched us deeply.
“As you pilot the affairs of journalists in the FCT, it is my prayer that the gods of our land will guide your tenure,” the statement concluded.
