Engineer Sule made this known at the palace of the Sarkin Loko, HRH Alhaji Umar, on Saturday.

While showing appreciation to both President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, for their prompt response to the security threats in the area by dispatching a unit of Mopol to ensure security of lives and property, the Governor said the security agents will be stationed between Ajaga, Bakono and Loko, as well as Tunga town.

Sule recalled that only recently, the Emir of Nasarawa, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril, alongside the Oche Agatu, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Kwanaki Guto, visited him at the Government House to intimate him about the security breaches by bandits, following which he took the matter before the President.

“The Federal Government is quick in sending a unit of mobile police that will be stationed in the area in the next one week. We want to show great appreciation for that,” he stated.

The Governor used the opportunity to call on the people of Loko Development Area, to cooperate with the security agents, so that they can effectively protect the people. He also appealed to communities in the area not to cooperate with the bandits by shielding their identities.

He equally warned the bandits to leave the area, since most of them came from other parts of the country, stressing that if they failed to leave, the only option left was to dislodge them forcefully like it was done in Otu.

Throwing more light on his reasons for visiting Loko, Engineer Sule disclosed further that he was seeking to partner with Reynolds Construction Company (RCC), the major contractor handling the now completed Oweto-Loko bridge, with a view to converting their camp into a recreational spot, hosting a mega bus terminal, rest places, filling stations, among other facilities.

The Governor explained that as the contractor is leaving, his administration is looking for possibilities to convert the camp and additional land, for major development, in order to create opportunities for the people of Loko, Nasarawa LGC and the state at large.

Engineer Sule also used  the opportunity of the visit, to carry on the spot inspection of the ongoing work on the 25km  Mararaba-Udege – Udege-Mbeki rural road.

At the palace of the Sarkin Loko, HRH Abubakar Ahmed Sabo, the Governor was decorated with the traditional title of the Barayan Loko, as a show of respect and appreciation for his sterling leadership qualities.

Engineer Sule later distributed assorted food items to victims of recent banditry in the area.

On his part, the Chairman, Nasarawa Local Government Council, Hon. Mohammed Sani Otto appreciated the Governor for his rare commitment to the development of rural communities in the state.
