APC Says No Vacancy in Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency
…Endorses Rep. Jimbo For 2027
Uyo (Core Reporters) As permutations, alignment and realignment has begun in Nigeria’s political space ahead of 2027 general elections, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), at Ward level in Akwa Ibom State, have unanimously endorsed the Member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rep. Clement Jimbo, MHR, MNIQS for a second term.
The eleven Ward Chairmen of Abak Chapter of the APC, while endorsing the Federal Lawmaker on Thursday May 1, 2025 at his residence in Uyo, reiterated that his giant strides in the past 23 months in office has given them a convincing assessment of his representation and retrospect what to expect the next two years, hence the decision of supporting him for second term.
The Ward Chairmen further promised to rally around him to ensure he is re-elected to enable him attract more dividends of governance to the people of his Constituency, stressing that second timers in Legislature often have the wherewithal to perform more than first timers due to the standing order of the House that made them first among equals and their subsequent appointment as Chairmen of sensitive Committees unlike first time Members.
This endorsement, according to the Chairmen, is a testament to the Federal Lawmaker’s effective representation in the National Assembly and a second tenure for him will translate into massive transformation of the Constituency when he is re-elected as a ranking Member of the Parliament.
Core Reporters understand that Jimbo’s achievement in the last 23 months NASS has given an edge over potential opponents in 2027.
