APC Attributes Bye-Elections’ Victory to Trust Reposed on Party by Nigerians

Abuja (Core Reporters) The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has attributed the August bye-elections victory to the acceptability and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government and the trust reposed on the party by Nigerians.

Recall that on Saturday, August 16, 2025, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted elections in 16 constituencies across 12 states of the federation. However, APC won in 13 out of the 16 federal and state constituencies as well as two senatorial districts.
Argungu noted that the victory was a remarkable achievement for the party and a reaffirmation of the confidence Nigerians continue to repose in the APC.
He said, “These victories are not just statistics; they are a reaffirmation of the trust Nigerians continue to place in the APC. They demonstrate the strength, resilience, and growing acceptance of our party nationwide.
“They reflect the belief of the Nigerian people in our capacity to deliver purposeful leadership and good governance,” he said.
Core Reporters report that APC recorded victories in NNPP and PDP stronghold states such as; Kano, Jigawa, Adamawa, Taraba, Ogun and Zamfara states.

APC won in Ganye State Constituency, Adamawa; Ovia Federal Constituency. Edo; Edo Central Senatorial District; Babura-Garki Federal Constituency, Jigawa; Zaria Kewaye State Constituency,
Kaduna; Basawa State Constituency, Kaduna; Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Kaduna; Ghari/Tsanyawa State Constituency, Kano; Okura State Constituency, Kogi; Munya State Constituency, Niger; Remo Federal Constituency, Ogun; Karim Lamido State Constituency, Taraba and Kaura Namoda South State Constituency, Zamfara state.
