Akwa Ibom State LGSC Hails Gov Eno Over Approval of Christmas Bonus

Akwa Ibom State local government service commission has hailed their state governor, overnor His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD for the announcement and approval of another payment of Christmas Bonus.
Rt. Hon. Monday Eyo, Chairman Local Government Service Commission in a chat with Core Reporters said, the entire workers in the state including those in the Unified Local Government Service have expressed their appreciation towards kind and fatherly gesture of His Excellency Dr. Eno for announcing again Christmas bonus to them.
Recall that Gov. Eno has earlier approved N80,000 minimum wage for the workers in the state against the N70, 000 approved by the federal government, and has again approved the payment of 13 months salary while modality for the commencement of the minimum wage tiding up.
Rt. Hon. Eyo said, “ We are eternally grateful to you, Your Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD for the announcement and approval of another payment of Christmas Bonus, christened (Eno- Mber) to all workers in the State, including those in the Unified Local Government Service.
“Thank you, our compassionate leader and Governor, as we also use this opportunity to congratulate you on the conferment of a Doctorate Degree on you, Your Excellency by the Senate of the University of Uyo last weekend,” he said.
Core Reporters understand that Eno has redefined leadership in Akwa state since he assumed office in May, 2023. On like other politicians and governors in various states of the federation who are at logger head with either their predecessors, opposition parties or members of their own political parties, the Pastor has decided to live at peace with all men according to the holy books he preaches.
Meanwhile, the governor has accepted to work together with his brother, the senate president Godswill Akpabio for the progress of the state on like what is happening in other states. This relationship with Akpabio was manifested when only the chairmanship candidate of Akpabio’s local government area under the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the just concluded local government elections in the state.
