ADC Women in Cross River Celebrate Imoke at 65, Honour Him with Award of Excellence

Members of the women’s wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Cross River State, led by the State Women Leader, Christabel Kasang, alongside other state executives, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to former Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, to celebrate his 65th birthday.
The celebration, held at the former governor’s residence, brought together ADC women leaders and supporters who conveyed goodwill messages, offered prayers, and joined him in cutting his birthday cake.
Speaking during the visit, Madam Kasang described Senator Imoke as a visionary leader whose commitment to the growth and development of Cross River State continues to inspire many within and beyond the political space.
As part of the celebration, she presented the former governor with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding leadership, dedicated public service, and enduring contributions to the development of Cross River State.
Kasang also reaffirmed the commitment of ADC women across the state to work tirelessly for the progress of the party, assuring Senator Imoke of their unwavering support in strengthening the ADC and advancing its ideals.
The women further pledged to remain united and committed to mobilising support across Cross River State, expressing confidence that the party would continue to grow through collective effort and purposeful leadership.
In his response, Senator Imoke expressed appreciation to the ADC women’s wing for the surprise visit and the honour bestowed on him, describing the gesture as thoughtful and deeply encouraging.
He commended the State Women Leader for her courage, commitment, and initiative in leading the delegation, while urging party members to remain focused, united, and dedicated to advancing the vision and objectives of the African Democratic Congress.
