The Cross River State National Assembly Caucus on Wednesday expressed shock over the comment of the former minister of Aviation, Fani Kayode on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s structures in Cross River State.

Fani Kayode had posted on his facebook account that if the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) take the state party structures away from the Governor of Cross Rivers state, Ben Ayade, that most of them will follow him and leave the party.

In reaction, the C’Rivers NASS Caucus  in a statement said, Fani Kayode should have been humble enough to ask certain questions before throwing tantrums at the people that have sustained the Party, while he is on sabbatical.

According to the group, “We thought he was going to ask Gov Ayade certain salient questions before dabbling into the CRS matter.

The group accused Ayade of anti-party activities, therefore, urged Fani Kayode to choose how and when to talk since according to them his main occupation now is talking.

“The statement read in part, “Did he ask Ayade why he contributed two billion naira (N2, 000, 0000.00), to the APC in the 2019 Elections?

“Did Fani Kayode ask him why he supported Hope Uzodinma in Imo State against EMEKA Ihedioha of PDP in the last Governorship Election in Imo State?

“Did he ask Ayade why he sent #5M only, in December last year to the Party, as a Seating Governor after so much pressure?

“Did he ask Ayade if he could win CRS for PDP without the NASS Members?

“Did he ask Ayade if he had at least 50% of the structures OR not, bearing in mind that there are other stakeholders and we are in a Democracy?

The group said Fani Kayode should brief them on the standing of the Party (PDP) in his own State, if he is on ground. They therefore advised him to go and put his State together for the Party.
