As the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations gathered momentum, the hosts’ nation Cameroon has humiliated Ethiopia with a 4-1 defeat in a Group A second game of the tournament.
Ethiopia open scoring barely 4-minute into the game when Dawa Hotessa received a cross from the flank and headed into the back of the net.
Four minutes later Cameroon got the equalizer as Karl Toko Ekambi headed a cross at the far post to make it 1-1 and sent the game to halftime.
On resumption, however, Vincent Aboubakar’s got the second goal of his side when he nodded a cross from the right flank inside the box to take the lead at home exactly 53rd minute into the second half.
Two minutes later Abubakar received a pass inside the six-yard box push it into the back of the net to extend the lead taking his tallies to four goals in a five-day-old tournament.
And at 69th minute, Karl Toko Ekambi made it four goals for the home side and his second for the ongoing tournament.
Meanwhile, Cameroon defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in their Group A opener before humiliating Ethiopia 4-1 yesterday in their second game of the tournament.
