Rowland Adieze
Barely 22 days to the kickoff of Likeminds FC In-house Competition (De Boss Cup), top striker of MAYOR OF HOUSES FC, Rowland Adieze and a mercurial midfielder of BEN/ODENYI/EKWERE FC, Afam OKafor have both stated that the 2021 edition of the competition is going to offer them the opportunity to lead their clubs to success.
Speaking exclusively with Core Reporters on Friday in Abuja, Adezie said he has being in splendid form recently as such he intend to ultilise the opportunity of the competition to prove his doubters wrong that he is still the top striker of Likeminds FC, Utako, Abuja.
Meanwhile, Afam Okafor who is nickname, Falcao in a chat with Core Reporters on Friday said, he is very confident that his club, BEN/ODENYI/EKERE FC will win the trophy at the end of the day, stating that he is in the best form of his life right now, therefore, it will take the grace of God or hard luck for any other team to win the competition if not his team.
When asked of the possibility for him to lead his team’s attacks, Adieze said, “There is no any other striker in my team who can match my form recently, so the question of who to lead the attacks of MAYOR of HOUSES FC would not even arise in the first place,”
“I hope you watched me in our last week’s training when I mesmerized our opponent’s defence and got the winning goal for my team, that is exactly what I intend to replicate at the competition proper,” Adieze boasted.
On his part, Okafor said, there is no doubt his team has got the best squad heading to the competition. He noted that the presence of the TM, Charles Ohaji and the current MVP Ben Ngoka in their squad has made it imperative for everyone to believe their ability to win the competition couple with his recent form.
“You know with the calibers of players in my team we are going to win the competition. All I know, when I martial the midfield, Ben Ngoka and Charles Ohaji will do the damage in the attacks,” he said.
The competition is slated to kick off October 2, 2021.
