By Gabriel Kekong
Abuja (Core Reporters) — Registration for the 2026 edition of the Montage Community Football Tournament will close on Friday, October 30, with organisers urging interested teams across the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to register before the deadline.
The tournament coordinator, Mr Raphael Ekpang, announced this on Thursday, noting that registration had commenced on Monday.
He urged eligible teams across the FCT to take advantage of the remaining days to complete their registration and participate in the competition.
The tournament, themed “Montage FM 99.7: Empowering Youth, Uniting Communities Through Football,” is scheduled to kick off on November 3, 2026, with playoffs across the six Area Councils.
The grand finale is scheduled for December 5, 2026, at the Old Parade Ground, Garki, Area 10, Abuja, where the four best-performing teams will compete for the tournament’s top honours.
The competition will feature 48 teams, with eight teams representing each of the six Area Councils of the FCT.
Participating teams will compete for cash prizes exceeding ₦2 million, alongside other valuable rewards.
The tournament is designed to promote youth engagement, discover football talent and strengthen unity among communities across the Federal Capital Territory.
