APC Releases Timetable for 2026 INEC-Restored Constituencies and Legislative Bye-Elections

By Sarah kitka
Abuja (Core Reporters) The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the conduct of primary elections ahead of the 2026 legislative elections arising from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)-restored State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi States, as well as legislative bye-elections in Gombe, Bauchi, Delta and Kano States.

The timetable follows INEC’s restoration of four previously suppressed State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi States.
The affected restored constituencies are:
Delta State: Abraka, Isoko North II and Ughelli South II State Constituencies; and
Kogi State: Yagba West II State Constituency.
In addition, the APC has scheduled primary elections for the following constituencies where legislative bye-elections will be conducted:
Gombe State: Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency;
Bauchi State: Disina State Constituency and Sakwa State Constituency;
Delta State: Udu State Constituency; and
Kano State: Dawakin Kudu State Constituency.
Consequently, the APC hereby notifies its State Chapters in Delta, Kogi, Gombe, Bauchi and Kano States, as well as all interested party members and stakeholders, of the commencement of activities for the conduct of the respective primary elections.
The Party urged all concerned State Chapters, aspirants and stakeholders to strictly adhere to the approved timetable and Schedule of Activities and ensure full compliance with the Party’s constitution, guidelines and applicable electoral laws.
The APC further reaffirmed its commitment to conducting transparent, credible and orderly primary elections in line with its internal democratic processes and the requirements of the electoral framework.
The detailed Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the respective primary elections shall guide the nomination and screening of aspirants, appeals and other processes leading to the emergence of the Party’s candidates for the affected constituencies.
The Party therefore calls on all members and stakeholders concerned to cooperate fully with the designated party committees to ensure the successful conduct of the primaries.
