Abuja (CoreReporters) Mrs Victoria Asabe Undeshi , The pioneer provost, Administration of Obudu College of Nursing Sciences, held a successful capping matriculation on 5th July 2024 at the College premises , which featured march 2022/2023 & the maiden October 2023 sets,
The Governor of Cross River State, HE, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, who is the visitor of the state college of Nursing Sciences Obudu was represented Dr Egbe Ayuk, the state Commissioner of Health,While Hon,Chief Dr,Martins Orim , immediate past Chief of Staff of Cross River State as the Chairman of the Occasion was represented at the occasion, the royal father of the day HRM Utsu Felix Okudari was represented by his trust -worthy Chief HRH,Utsu Edward Undebe .0ther very important respected dignitaries Including Dr Mrs Linda Ayade, the President,Madiatrix Development Foundation,former first, Lady of Cross River State was at the August occasion and in double trust as an award recipient , arising from her ceaseless commitment & contributions to the institution and her support for girl-child education in cross River. State ,0ther award recipients were on ground to collect award recognition for their encouragement and contributions towards the upliftment of the Institution were acknowledged, appreciated and recognized.
The man of the people ,Chief Hon,Peter Akpanke, the House of Representatives Member for Obanliku,Obudu, and Bekwarra federal constituency ,was the special guest of honour, of the day.
Hon Agnes Atsu commissioner and daughter of the soil also was acknowledged & respected at the occasion, alongside, Mrs Uduak Spencer Efam the special Adviser to the state Governor on nursing education and Mrs Mary U,Esuku the pioneer Chairman Governing Council,Mrs,Eshigah Agbor Otuokwa, deputy provost Administration Others captured included ,Mr Ndem-Ana Agbankwo,who is the college Bursar . Also, added colours and feathers to the success of the maiden celebration were Traditional Rulers Clan Heads, and leadership of Hausa community in 0budu,led by Sarikin .It s on record and on notice that during the event,Hon, Peter Akpanke the special guest of honour and the people ,s respected Lawmaker and man of the moment at the House of Representative gave 15 best graduating Students the sum of 1oo,ooo each across the 3 local Government Areas.He also, promised to support the college with 20,solar power light to compliment NEPA Power shortage in Obudu.a popular stock–in –trade arising Cross River State .
