The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan-Enoh has congratulated Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan for cementing her place as a sprinting superstar, by storming to a breathtaking 7.77 seconds in the 60-meters hurdles final at the Astana Indoor Meet.
Core Reporters report that Amusan 7.77 seconds new record has shattered the 25-year-old African women’s indoor record set by Gloria Alozie.
The Minister in a statement by his S.A. Media, Diana-Mary Tiku Nsan on Saturday said Amusan’s electrifying performance not only propelled her to a dominant victory, but also saw her erase the legendary mark of 7.82 seconds set by her compatriot, Gloria Alozie, in 1999.
He noted that the historic feat marks a new chapter in African athletics, showcasing Amusan’s relentless dedication and phenomenal talent.
