2027 Guber : APC stalwarts seek Senator Wadada return to party

There is a growing momentum particularly from some starlwarts in the Nasarawa western senatorial district who are seeking that Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada decamp from the Social Democratic Party SDP and return to the ruling All Progressive Congress APC.
The move and call on the lawmaker to return to APC is spearheaded by Abdullahi Atajiri a stunch supporter of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State and jointly supported by the senator Wadada’s Director General of his campaign organization for senate 2023, Honourable Bello Ramalan, as well as Professor Silas Gyar ,the chairman senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for senate in 2023.
Our correspondent report that the call may not be far fetch but connected to a statement the incumbent governor had made penultimate weeks at Keffi, where some youth at a zonal rally before the conduct of the just concluded LGs election in the state carried placards and chanting ” Sai wadada” prompting the governor who was making a speech to ask the youth to bring senator wadada back to APC.
Although the senator is yet to make an official statement in respect to his return or not, but in one of his chart with journalists at his Gudu district resident, he said” The mandate is of the people ,I can’t on my own take a decision, but if that is what the people wants who am I? But to tell you wadada is leaving the SDP to whatsoever party is depending on what the electorates want.” He said.
When contacted, Honourable Salish Atiku the personal assistant to the senator in a telephone conversation confirmed that they are aware of the call for the senator to return to the APC in a rally that will hold in Keffi on saturday” We will all be there.
On whether Senator Wadada have decided to return to the ruling APC, Salisu affirmed that senator wadada is interested in decamping,adding that from filers they are meant to understand that some elder statemen in the state are preparing to leave the APC for PDP should Governor Abdullahi Sule support senator wadada for governor as candidate of the party come 2027.
