A chieftain of the main opposition political party in Nasarawa State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honorable Abdullahi Awaisu, has decried the level of decay in the state under the 12 years administration of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Abdullahi Awaisu, a retired military officer and one time Secretary in Keffi Local Government Area, who is currently the coordinator of Atiku mandate as well as Deputy Director General, David Ombugadu for governor 2023 in Nasarawa state was a guest to Melony FM radio, keffi, on Tuesday, which was monitored by our correspondent.
Hon. Awaisu averred that the ruling All Progressive Congress has ran short of ideas on how to better Nigeria thereby reducing their chances of returning to power in the 2023 general elections.
He said the choice of Honorable David Emmanuel Ombugadu as the Nasarawa state PDP Governorship flag bearer for the 2023 gubernatorial was hinged on his integrity and his love for the people of Nasarawa state.
According to him, ” The track records of Ombugadu kept as legacy during his reigns as the House of Representative member representing Akwanga /Wanna Federal constituency in terms of projects execution and human capacity development out-weight what a sitting governor have done in almost 8 years now
” I can tell you on good authority that Ombugadu, has made his mark across the state and especially in his constituency.He has touched the lives of our people here in Keffi.You can go and find out for yourself, the various projects my principal has executed even when he was not aspiring for governorship.They spans across the 13 LGAs in the state ranging from provision of borehole, schools, hospitals and constructions of access roads. So, PDP is on ground.
Honorable Awaisu further explained that David Ombgadu has what it takes to become the next governor of Nasarawa state, to bridge the gap of neglect and bring to fruition the expectations and yearnings of the good people of Nasarawa state if elected.
He took a swipe at the ruling All Progressive Congress, saying that under the APC , a local government chairman can not but wait for alert from the governor to be able. to pay workers wages.
” So, the twelve years administration of the APC in Nasarawa state is rather a waste to us .This is why we are working round the clock to ensure that come 2023, the electorates will not waste their votes but rather vote in our candidates from the president, governors, senators, House of Reps members and down to the state assembly members” He opined.
