Pro Samson Lawal in action

Professional golfer Sampson Lawal leads 14 others, as their ranks swelled on the Plateau State after the recent upgrading the Armature to the pro cadre.
Golfville scooped that Lawal leads others like; Habu Mohammed (Rayfield), Atang Ishaya (Lamingo), Dung Chuwan (Rayfield), Azi Ajang (Lamingo) and Emmanuel Agom (Lamingo).
Others are; Dareng twins brothers, Gyang and Pam (Rayfield), Bulus Izang (Lamingo), Ralph Rwang (Rayfield), Chamfa Sam (Rayfield), Sam Igyem (Rukuba), Azi Igyem (Lamingo) and Tina Micha (Rukuba).
The three major golf clubs in Plateau State are; Rayfield Golf club-1913 is arguably the oldest golf club in Nigeria constructed by the Colonial Masters in 1913. Lamingo and the Octopus located inside the Third Amoured Division headquarters; Rukuba Barracks golf clubs contributed golfers to the professional categories in Nigeria.
It would be recalled that Plateau state boasts of other golf clubs such as National Institute of Policy and Strategist Studies, NIPSS Golf club, Police Staff (PSC golf club) and Brkin Ladi golf club.
