The Governor announced the readiness of his administration to kick-start the restoration of the state transport system by the modest purchase of at least 30 vehicles, two for each of the 13 local government areas and the remainder for long-distance travel.

“I believe these kinds of things cannot wait because they are for the good of the state,” he stated.

While commending both the Chairman of PAN and the Keystone Bank Executive Director, Northern region, for their commitment and devotion to making Nasarawa State efficient, Engineer Sule appreciated Keystone Bank for being a wonderful friend and partner, having assisted the state in so many areas, including the Corporate Social Responsibility that saw the bank renovate some schools in the state.

The Governor urged members of the team to undertake an inspection tour of some facilities belonging to the Nasarawa State Transport Service, particularly its workshop, as well as the site of the ongoing construction of the Lafia Mega Bus Terminal.

Engineer Sule promised to reserve a space for the transport company at the two new mega bus terminals being constructed in Karu and Lafia.

“It’s indeed a thing of joy for us that the two ambassadors of Nasarawa State, are leading the pack to ensure that we revive our Nasarawa State transport service,” an elated Governor Sule said.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of PAN, Hon Wadada, expressed the willingness of the team to support the state government resuscitate the state transport company, towards making life easier, convenient and cheap for its citizens.

“And for everything that has to do with the success of this government, the betterment of the citizens of Nasarawa State, we will not relent in bringing to the table, the values that we have,” the PAN Chairman said.

Hon. Wadada explained that, in bringing the needed values to the table, for the government to achieve it’s set objectives for the good of the citizens of Nasarawa State, PAN will provide the vehicles while Keystone Bank will fund the project.
