Oyedele Mourns Pa Reuben Fasoranti

Abuja (Core Reporters) — The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has mourned the passing of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, a revered elder statesman and leader of Afenifere, describing his life as a testament to integrity, principled leadership and dedicated public service.

Oyedele said Fasoranti’s record as Commissioner for Finance in the old Ondo State under the administration of Chief Michael Ajasin remained a benchmark for prudence, accountability and ethical stewardship in economic management.

In a condolence message, the minister said he joined Nigerians, particularly the people of Ondo State, in mourning the late statesman, who lived to the age of 100.

“As a proud son of Ondo State, I share in the grief of our people,” Oyedele said.

He noted that the most fitting tribute to Fasoranti’s century of service would be for leaders to uphold the discipline, fairness and commitment to the public good that characterised his life.

Oyedele extended his condolences to the Fasoranti family, members of Afenifere and the people of Ondo State, praying for the peaceful repose of the late elder statesman’s soul.

“May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
